This video shows you how to frag corals while still in the tank, gives a good overview of some techniques to get your coral piece to float to the surface once you frag it from your main colony. If you have lost little coral pieces into your rockwork never to be found again, you will know why this is such a useful technique! Feel free to adapt it to your needs, it should give you some ideas if you need to be creative.

I have both the retail abd pre-release shareware copies of Descent. I chose to do this challenge in the shareware version because it is slightly harder - here are the main differences:
- Class 2 Drone far more aggressive than in retail version
- Small Spider far more aggressive than in retail version
- Spreadfire ROF slightly slower
- Spreadfire blasts move significantly slower (Confusing robots into not knowing which way to evade, rather than high damage)
- Supermech homing missile does more damage (32 not 25) (this may also increase player's homing missile damage)
- Robots search their surroundings more
- Nearby robots fire randomly when you are cloaked (Even if they've never seen you, and you've not touched anything or fired any weapons)
Other cosmetic differences which don't really affect gameplay include:
- No weapon changing sounds, other than generic tone
- Cloaked lifter attack can be heard (Think of Old Scratch from D3)
No invulnerability wear-off sound
- Start of Lunar Military Base changed (Not as much evasion space in the room you spawn in)
- Escape Tunnel in Venus Nickel-Iron Mine changed (No curve at end of tunnel)
- Five music tracks (Mercury mines repeat Lunar music tracks)
- No music when in escape tunnel (Level music remains playing)
- No briefing of Class 1 Driller before Level 6(more)(less)
