He was cooking various things for people and I think he is burning all the fur etc of the rat for them to cook properly at home. The animal on the left is some sort of big mouse it had just been cooked before the rat, when I looked closely it was still alive! Its eyes where moving and its feet, and it was blinking even though the guy had just burnt it with the blow torch! I don't think they want to eat rats more so they are hungry and can't afford to buy a chicken etc but in china you never know!(more)(less)
