During much of January 2001, the TV Guide channel would periodically broadcast an "Insider" program featuring the cast of Farscape. The problem for scapers is that the broadcast schedule was very unpredictable, which made catching the interviews on TV very unlikely. Good thing VCRs have timers.

The TV Guide Network is one of the other two cable channels that uses a comperized device that comes from your cable company.
When the network (which was then called Prevue Guide) was launched in 1988, most cable headends used Amgia Computers to power up their program guides. Most cable headends used it all the way up until 2000.
This past summer, I was board one day, and I wanted to make a "Emulator" that's based off from the earlier versions of the TV Guide Network's program guide. The first clip shows the black grid that was used from 1988-1993 (durring the old Prevue Guide days). The second clip shows a earlier verison of the blue grid from 1993.
This footage is not something that was actully shown on TV Guide over the years, but rather recent TV listings that I used from this past summer. The programs that I used were Windows Movie Maker, Microsoft Powerpoint, CamStudio, Microsoft Paint, and the fonts from the WeatherSTAR 4000 Emulator program.
Note: a accendently deleted the other videos, but now I included both videos for the price of one! I also came up with this idea awhile back after watching so many WeatherSTAR Emulator videos.(more)(less)
