Here is a great chest workout you can do at home with a cheap dumbbell set. Big gyms are nice but when you can get a killer workout at home without the overhead of getting to and from the gym. In this chest workout we are going to do pushups, then with no rest immediately do flys, then with no rest immediately do dumbbell press. Make sure and use a much lighter weight than you usually would on the flys and dumbbell press because after the pushups you wont have much left in you. After doing this set of three exercises, wait 2-5 minutes and do it again. Do 5-8 sets like this and you will be sore the next day.
As with all dumbbell exercises, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don't use too much weight, if you can't do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud "one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand" on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise.
Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts.

In my opinion, pushups are the #1 best exercise you can do! They are simple to do and are a great upper body workout for the complete beginner or the advanced bodybuilder. You can get a complete upper body workout by combining these pushups with crunches and pullups, all of which can be done easily at home.
Start by doing knee pushups. If you can do more than 20 of these then they are too easy for you and you should do full pushups.
We want to start slowly to avoid injury, the first two weeks you will only do this workout once a week: do as many pushups as you can without rest (a set) rest 2 minutes repeat two more times (three sets total)
If your joints and muscles feel ok, you can slowly increase the frequency and duration of your pushup workouts until you are doing pushups 3x/week for 20minutes. When you get to the point where you can do more than 20 pushups in all your sets, then its time to move on to a more advanced workout. Please see my website for some suggestions.
The reason many people dont get started in bodybuilding is that it seems to complex and intimidating, thats why I recommend starting out with just pushups and with daily walking (10-30min). Its an easy program, you start feeling better immediately, and your brain starts to associate exercising with feeling good. A recent study showed that as little as 10min of exercise a day can do wonders for you mind and body. Once you brain has made the connection between exercise and feeling good, motivation is no longer a problem and you will find yourself wanting to add new exercises.
If you are overweight and can only do 3 knee pushups, dont be discouraged, its not the number of pushups you can do that is important but the effort. For those of you who are overweight, think of it this way, you are lifting far more weight in your pushups than your lighter counterparts so its natural that you cant do as many pushups. What is important is that you make progress each week, if you did 3 knee pushups last week, try to do 3 1/2 knee pushups this week.

Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. This video clip shows how to do crunches with varying degrees of difficulty based on your ability. Remember that ab exercises alone will not give you abs! If you have the best abs in the world they will be completely invisible if you are overweight. Aerobic exercise and proper diet are even more important than ab exercises in getting that sought after 6-pack.
Form is very important in crunches, many people do them incorrectly and end up working out their neck or hips more than their abs. Use slow movements and only use the abs. Concentrate on trying to raise your shoulders straight up towards the ceiling. Don't worry about how many reps you do but focus on using perfect form. No whipping the head around or flapping your arms! This is not a sit-up either, the hips are stationary. Also important is to minimize any tension in the neck, I do this by very lightly supporting my head with my hands or the weight plate
The main reason to workout abs is because strong abs stabilize your lower back and shield you from injury but as a side benefit a 6-pack looks great!

We put a full mix in this one. Mostly pushing exercises and the back can be worked after with some deadlifts or chin ups. For mixed martial arts fighters and other demanding jobs like soldiers, firefighters and swat, this is great stuff.
Each exercise interval is done for 60 seconds then head to the next drill immediately with no rest.
The lungs got hid hard on this one with the bag work and sprint combo. The pylons hit the agility.

I received a lot of requests to make an advance bodyweight training workout routine video.
Personally, I am a big fan of advanced bodyweight training. Some of the strongest pound by pound athletes
such as gymnasts and rock climbers gotten stronger through bodyweight training.
The beauty about bodyweight training is that it can be done anywhere by anyone. It does not matter if you are a beginner or advanced. Bodyweight exercises can be modified to fit your fitness level.
You should be able to handle your own bodyweight before adding any external resistance (ie. free weights). You will be surprise how effective bodyweight training is.
Watch my Advanced Bodyweight Training video and see how you do.
Here are the rules for the Advanced Bodyweight Training routine:
Perform each exercise in order for 5 reps (per side). Do a total of 5 rounds. Try not to take any breaks in
between sets.

Summer is approaching really fast. It has been very warm lately where I live so I have been bringing my workout training outside at my local park..
Basically, I am going back to the basics and I am loving the new challenge. Using my own bodyweight as
the machine to keep me in condition.
This is the Outdoor Bodyweight Conditioning Workout Routine that I did a few days ago
If you want to follow it, here are the workout instructions:
1a: Rope Push - 20 reps
1b: Modified Pistol Squat - 15 reps per side
2a: Recline Pull - 15 reps
2b: Jump Squat - 20 reps
3a: Side Pull up - 20 reps
3a: Alternating Split Squat Jump - 20 reps
4a: Bodyweight Shoulder Press - 15 reps
4b: Bulgarian Squat - 15 reps per side
5a: Windshield Wiper - 20 reps
5b: The Flag - 15 seconds per side
All exercises are done in a superset between upper body and lower body. For example, Rope Pushup are supersetted with a Modified Pistol Squat. Do NOT rest within the superset, but rest 30 seconds after the lower body before repeating the superset again. Repeat for a total of 3 rounds total. Proceed to the next superset (2a and 2b).
