"Fool in the Rain" is a song on English rock band Led Zeppelin's 1979 album, In Through the Out Door. It was their final song ever to make the pop singles charts during the band's tenure, reaching #21 in 1980.
The song exhibits a Latin feel. Drummer John Bonham plays a New Orleans-style shuffle beat, along with a samba-style breakdown. A master drum track shows that the samba breakdown (2:25) was recorded separately.
Bass player John Paul Jones and vocalist Robert Plant got the idea for the samba beat from watching the 1978 FIFA World Cup tournament in Argentina. Guitarist Jimmy Page used an MXR Blue Box effect pedal during the solo to produce the octave sound.
Lyrically, the song is about a man who is supposed to meet a woman on a certain corner. When the woman doesn't appear, he is filled with grief at being stood up. By the final verse, he wonders whether he'd been waiting for her on the wrong corner, making him the eponymous "Fool in the Rain."
This song was never performed live at Led Zeppelin concerts because the group didn't think the sound came off well. The piano was quite necessary in the song, but with John Paul Jones on piano there could be no bass. There is also a twelve-string guitar line at one point in the song and the guitar solo that has to be pulled off.

But the inhabitants of a small Southwestern town feel the real "fallout" when radiation from bomb tests creates giant, mutant ants that descend on their community. Filled with creepy creatures large and small, this 1954 sci-fi spectacular falls squarely in the realm of B-movies.
One of the first of the "nuclear monster" movies, Them! was the biggest moneymaker for Warner Bros. Pictures in the year of its release. It starred James Whitmore, Edmund Gwenn, Joan Weldon and James Arness. When Them began production in early 1954, it was originally conceived to be in 3-D and WarnerColor. During pre-production, tests were to be shot in color and 3-D. A color tests were shot, but when it was time to shoot the other test, WB's "All Media" 3-D camera rig malfunctioned and no tests were shot. The next day, a memo was sent out that the color and 3-D aspects of the film were to be scrapped, and that black and white and widescreen would be the preferred format. Because of the preparation of certain shots, however, many of the camera set-ups for 3-D still remain, such as the opening titles and flame-throwers that are shot at the camera. Although WB was dissatisfied with the color results, the opening titles, however, were printed in color against a black and white background to give the opening of the film a "punch." This effect was achieved by an Eastman Color section spliced into each print. The film still featured higher production values than most of the genre-mates which followed it.

As you can see, I was developing techniques such as putting a prologue before the title crawl, showing a blaster bolt moving toward the camera, using two Lego boxes to represent a building, making random canyons appear out of nowhere, and, of course, not bothering to make any backgrounds. Yeah, I know, it's crap.* Filmed with Legos in "stop-motion."
