A breif clip of my local 24-hour Cable Marketplace station. Comcast had been running this station since the UA Cable days back in the late 1980s. It shows photo adverisements 24 hours a day as well as a scrawl that shows the local weather forecast, as well as the date, time, tempature, humidity, and wind speed.
In this clip, your seeing the "Auto Mart" program that would always be shown every day at 2:30, 5:30, 8:30, and 11:30 AM & PM Central Time. It features local auto listings.
I had cable for 20+ years now and I grew up watching this station since when I was little. The station underwhen a huge makeover back in 1999.
This station is also branded as "Comcast Spotlight." On this same channel, I once saw a Windows ME computer crash back in 2001 and again in 2003. I just wish I knew what computer program they are useing and where I can get it. They've been using it since the 1999 make-over.

Some of the other promos are also shown from The WB from 1995-2006.
The other promos include: "Cubix: Robots For Everyone", "Johnny Test", "The King of Queens" (which is really a CBS show), "Yes Dear" (also another CBS show), "Berny Mac" (a Fox show), "JamnX All Star Kidz!" (a WB special that aired in 2006 shortly before the launch of The CW), "Vutiaful Joe", "The Batman", "Resipie TV" (a syndacated show), "The Daily Buzz" (also syndacated), and "The Cosby Show" (a NBC sitcom).
Today, The WB is now The CW and Cartoon Network now airs "Pokémon" on their cable-only station.
As a result, the old voice cast left the series after 8 seasons and The Pokémon Company started to produce the show starting in September 2006.

I desided to make my own satellite forecast emulator on Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2003. This is a recreation of what the main WeatherSTAR 4000 looked like from The Weather Channel's headqurters in Atlanta, GA. As you can tell, it shows an endless Travel Forecast loop. It would only be shown if either one the local WeatherSTARs fails to cue its Local Forecast cue or if theres no WeatherSTAR hooked up at all. Also, this is what the satellite verison of the 4000 looked like in early to mid 1993.

A strong line of thunederstorms are comming in Central Illinois. Dime size hail had already struck my own backyard. No damage is found in my backyard (or front yard).
Once again, I made the radar look slightly more realistic by editing. The WeatherSTAR 4000 Emulator computer program currently lacks the old Weather Channel logo durring the radar segment.

Looking back to Microsoft's "golden days" (1981-2001), I found an old video that shows a demostration on how to use Windows 98 (first edition).
This verison of Windows is now discontenued and unsuported, but this would eventuly become the last good verison of Windows (predating 2000, Me, XP, Server 2003, Vista, and Server 2008).
Some of these "how-to's" can also still be done on Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista, and Server 2008.

DISCLAIMER: this is something that actully happened on The Weather Channel throughout the months of November-December 2004. Keep in mind that this video is really an EMULATOR -- not a real 3000.
This is what the WeatherSTAR 3000 would of looked like if cable companys didn't replace the 3000 before November 2004.
The Weather Channel and the FCC decomissioned the 3000 because the 3000 wasn't capible of sounding off a more arual sounding severe weather alert tone which the FCC required after Janurary 1, 2005.
The WeatherSTAR 3000 was the oldest and longest running version which The Weather Channel ever had. It first deibuted in 1985 and up until 1990, it was known as the WeatherSTAR III.
Note: I deleted the other video because I accendently showed the disclaimer message a little too early before the local forecast. I made some corrections in this video, and changed the music. I also included a ad scraw.
The programs that I used were Microsoft Powerpoint, CamStudio, and Windows Movie Maker.
