This is the cut of my film made to meet the guidelines for the "Project Direct" competition, the original edit is slightly longer and I'm working on uploading that now... EDIT: In case anyone is interested in the guidelines that were needed for "Project: Direct" (but are too lazy to find out what they were for themselves) the film had to:
a) Involve a character in whole, or in part, being in a situation above his or her maturity level - as Mason's father says, ancient civilizations used to send their children out when they "came of age" to fend for themselves, something most people don't need to do till much later in life nowadays, but which Mason has to deal with abruptly and suddenly
b) it has to contain the line "I demand an explanation for these shenanigans. What do you have to say?" - which is why such an awkward line is in the film in the first place! Though I think I got it into the film reasonably well
c) It has to involve the passing of a photograph - as seen when Mason picks up the photo dropped by some mystery person or thing
d) It had to be between 2 and 7 minutes long - which is why I have a two parter and then this 6 minutes 59 seconds long version!
Filmed in Bristol, Vermont and Bridport, Vermont! And other places too maybe that I forgot!

But from what I can tell, the main type of wasp I find in my garden (and in my home) is the Great Black Wasp.
I caught this guy in a glass to let him go outside (He was buzzing about my kitchen) but I guess there must have been some good soda in the glass before because he didn't seem to wanna leave...
I liked his little tongue so much that I taped him
Had a tricky time focusing on him

The comments so far on this video have only really mentioned how big and scary looking this guy is but I feel it's worth noting that I filmed him in part because of that but also because there is definitely a certain amount of beauty in wasps... if you try and look past how nasty their sting might be

Recently saw the music-doc*mentary "Kill Your Idols" about the no-wave music scene in NYC from the early 70's to the present day and it inspired me to make this song.
Incidentally I realised that this song will appeal to no-one!
If you don't know "no wave" music it'll sound like a fu*king mess!
If you DO know "no wave" music and like it, you'll see it as the insult to your genre of music - which it is!
If you DO know "no wave" music and you DON'T like it, you already think the messy music within it is sh*t!
So who does that leave?
Maybe people who used to be into No Wave music but have since grown to hate it?
